Hard sell?[edit]

There's no doubt that such a curriculum item would be educational, in the archaic Wikimedia Commons sense of the word. The problem I'm seeing is, "education" in the modern sense is measured strictly in terms of improving the saleability of the student as an asset to the managerial class. Writing research papers can get prepare you for college, thus perhaps for some internship; writing Wikipedia articles prepares you to be an unpaid volunteer. Archiving[edit]

This idea hasn't generated much discussion or input, and isn't a clear fit with current priorities, so the fellowship program is passing on it for now. I've archived this idea, but anyone should feel free to reopen it and continue to develop it in a future open call for fellows if there more interest.
