Incorporation

I was a little confused about the difference between Friendly Societies and Industrial & Provident Societies and Jon cleared this up for me (and the group no doubt). See Industrial & Provident Societies FAQs. Note also that the consensus is to set up a company limited by guarantee and then apply for charity status. Aims

The aims of the charity could be as simple as "Creative Commons International Limited" which became a charity on 5th Oct 2005

THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS (THE OBJECTS) ARE INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, 
FACILITATING THE SHARING OF SCIENTIFIC, CREATIVE AND OTHER INTELLECTUAL
