Addressing Opposing And Contradictory Views[edit]

There will always be opposing and contradictory views when creating Wikipetitions. So then, how do we address all sides of the petitioners? Should we have a specific Agree or Disagree disclaimer telling who should sign and who shouldn't? Or maybe have both views on the same petition, like how most Wikipedia articles have Controversy/Criticism sections? Kyjds (talk) 00:27, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

We need more interested users[edit]

Who else is interested in this project? Please don't be shy to edit this Meta-Wiki project to include your name! Because by adding your name, you are helping Wikimedia Foundation will take this seriously and they will take our revolutionary and game-changing project into serious consideration.

By staying silent and lurking, you are keeping this project from getting started, off the ground, and changing the world!

I will add my name too. I'm not the best Wikiist, but I do want this to be a global phenomenon of a success! Kyjds (talk) 19:09, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Answers to the proposal questions[edit]

Please add the answers(A:) to the template questions, as I do not know how...

Q: What is the proposed name for the project?

A: Wikipetitions

Q: Project description

A: A collaborative petition creating platform in the form of wikis, which anyone could edit(as long as guidelines are met).

Q: What is the project purpose?

A: To provide a new and innovative way for people to create, edit, and share petitions. At first the scope was to find a better way to contact lawmakers, but just the fact that the petitions will have so much helpful arguments, they could be used for educational purposes on the issues that matter to them, that they want their families to learn, and to help weight options on any subject.

Q: What will be its scope?

A: The original plan was just for the petitions to be for political or governmental issues, but the scope can be far-more reaching with unlimited potential! The Entertainment industry could benefit and may actually be influenced by such an ambitious project!

Q: How would it benefit to be part of Wikimedia?

A: The real question is, how will it benefit the members of WikiMedia and people from all around the world? But for Wikimedia, it would help raise the bar for receiving more funding from donors. Wikipetitions and all the other sister sites would benefit greatly if this project becomes such a global game changer as I aspire to!

Q: How many wikis?

A: Political in scope, and possibly entertainment too, there will probably be more Wikipetitions than there will be all other Wikimedia projects combined!

Q: Will there be many language versions or just on one multilingual wiki?

A: Yes, definitely. It would help to have multiple languages, but if that's asking too much, then I'd be fine with a single multilingual project. Although, some countries may censor or limit activity related to Wikipetitions, as some countries have brutal regimes that would harm them if they spoke out.

Q: How many languages?

A: All depends on the number of nation's that are friendly to opinions.

Q: Is the project going to be in one language or in many?

A: In as many as possible, with the pretense of friendly governments.

Q: Technical requirements If the project requires any new features that the MediaWiki software currently doesn't have, please describe in detail.

A: Wikipetitions would need a way to forward the petitions to lawmakers, or share them on social media.

Please add these answers to the template, as I am unable to edit what I need for some reason... Kyjds (talk) 07:12, 8 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
