Talk:Wikistats/Measuring Article Quality

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Some things to consider: w:Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment should provide some nice statistics. Another useful thing would be to try to quantify w:Wikipedia:External peer review, in a manner similar to what Nature has done. In addition to clear reviews, information from articles mentioned in w:Wikipedia:Wikipedia in academic studies (like this) may be usedu, as well as some analysis of the press (w:Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost is providing weekly analysis of the press, it would be again great to quantify and analyze it).--Piotrus 19:07, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am working on my doctoral dissertation and the topic I have chosen is Wikipedia and the relationship between active articles, active participants, and quality. I am currently looking at some research, but then will be examining this exact topic. If any of you have any ideas on where I should start, or have work that you would like to see done, let me know.
