Teahouse/Question analysis/August

This is a brief analysis of the Q&A forum on the Teahouse from the archived dates of August 16-August 27.

I analyzed 91 questions.

• Out of 91, 47 were invited.

• 10 were invited via AfC
• 23 invited with Teahouse graphic template
• 11 were invited by HostBot
• 3 were invited by either non-host text invite ("stop by the teahouse if you need help,") or a welcome template.

• No questions have been asked by new page triage invitees.
• August 16 had the most questions asked - 14.
• How to's are the most popular type of question.

• AfC comes up second, followed by general explanations on how things work.

• Male hosts will outweigh female hosts. FloatingBoat has answered the most questions for a woman (not counting Heather/Sarah)
• The majority of questioners are not receiving talkback templates. This is most often the case when it's a non-host answering the question, or, with hosts who are newer.

• Therefore we need to make it easier for people to know about the talkback template.
• This is most likely the reason why there isn't as much conversation on the Q&A. People who get talkbacks do come back repeatedly or to thank the Teahouse.
