From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

You're about to create a new Travel and Participation Support report!

Thanks for bringing value back to the Wikimedia movement by sharing your experience with others.

Step 1. Event name

In the edit box below: please enter the name of the event that you attended.

Step 2. Participant connections

Events are a great place to connect with other people! Tell us something about that here - it could be an estimate of how many people attended the talk you gave, or a note about the 2 biologists you met who just started work on a Wikiproject with you.

Step 3. Outcome

We don't want you to write a long narrative in this report about everything that happened at this event! We just want to see a link to 1 important and valuable result of your participation.

This could be:

  • a blog post or a link to some other way you shared back with others who could not attend the same event
  • a learning pattern you create or endorse in order to share something you learned at the event more widely
  • a link to something that you and other participants at the event created as a result of your having been together at the event (Wikimedia content? infrastructure? other amazing things?)

Step 4. Finances

Please outline the ways you spent the Travel and Participation Support money, and if there is any money left over.

Please email documentation (receipts) to participation(_AT_)wikimedia.org.

Step 4. Anything else?

Got slides or photos from the event? This is the place to show them off or share anything else on your mind! Upload your files to Wikimedia Commons and add them to your report so we can enjoy the fun too!

Step 5. Save your page

Press Save page and you've created your report. Thanks for helping forward the Wikimedia mission!

Step 6.

One last step! Email participation(_AT_)wikimedia.org to notify us that your report is ready for review.

Notes:

  • Although English is the preferred language for reports, you are welcome to submit yours in any language. Links to blog posts, slides, etc in other languages are also welcome.
  • Words between "<!--" and "-->" in the edit window will not show up on your saved page.
