This code might be overkill in templates using the new (2006) m:ParserFunctions anyway, because then the following is simpler:

The hard decision is always "do I want it subst'able or elegant", for some cases of "ifdef" (no else) and "switch" (the template) I'm still undecided what's the best way to go. Your subst= strategy can help, but code like subst={{{subst|}}} is not more elegant. -- Omniplex (w:t) 08:03, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
