Questions[edit]

  • Can I scope multiple lists to my Dashboard? Yes! Add as many PSIDs, categories, and other scopes as you like.
  • Can I remove a PSID? Yes! Click the gray "remove" button on the right of your PSID list.
  • Can I use the equity lists for my program? Yes! Each of the equity lists has been built with the tool Listeria, compiling missing biographies of people based on Wikidata demographic characteristics — Ethnicity, Sexual orientation, Nationality, Gender, and Disability — and the individual list pages have PSIDs for the corresponding lists.
  • These equity lists are incomplete. What can I do about that? Adding items to Wikidata is the best way to improve these lists. Follow this link to take some Wikidata training modules
  • Do I have to use only the PSIDs listed on the Equity lists page? No. You can use any PSID you want. The lists on that page specifically exist to improve representation on Wikipedia
  • Can I use references for article(s) on English Wikipedia that are in languages other than English? Yes! It doesn't matter what language a reference is in, as long as its from a reliable source
  • Can I create my own lists? Yes! It's complicated, but everything on Wikipedia is free and open to everyone to use, re-use, remix, and modify. The PetScan manual is a good starting point.
