Building for sustainability

We wanted to create more organizational capacity, in particular around financial and accounting operations.

That was our weakest point for 2020, though progress had been achieved, After the departure of our dedicated accountant who found a permanent job, we decided to hand over the account management to a professional company to make it easier for us to focus on operational activities. We also signed a partnership convention with Wikimedia France, enabling us to bring financial sustainability to our endeavors. Next step is to fundraise to professionalize other parts of activities, becoming too difficult to manage on a volunteer basis. We have also paid special attention to pay work being done on the administrative and reporting level, something that we think should be best practices for the whole movement.
