Less than 1 in 5 biographies on Wikipedia are about women. On this International Women’s Day, join UNESCO to help bridge the gender gap in the digital space.[edit]

On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2020, UNESCO New Delhi organized #WIKI4WOMEN edit-a-thon in collaboration with Wikimedians of India, aiming at promoting better representation of women in the digital sphere through the development of women profiles on Wikipedia. Last year’s campaign helped to create/expand/translate 58 Wikipedia articles related to women who play important roles in Education, Culture, the Sciences, Culture and Communications.

UNESCO New Delhi is hosting the edit-a-thon again this year to celebrate Women’s Day.
