I am a sociologist, a Wikipedia researcher and a volunteer. My PhD research (2020-2023) focused on Wikipedia: I was interested in the effects offline gatherings of Wikipedians have on their online behaviour, focusing on contribution behaviour, election dynamics, and norm-relevant behaviour. My project is documented on its grant page. My full PhD thesis is available here and all papers have been published open access: data paper, activity paper, election participation paper and election outcome paper (working paper). Currently (2025-2029), I collaborate on the project Visual Analytics for Sustainability and Climate Change.

Besides researching Wikipedia and its dynamics, I also like to contribute towards it myself every now and then and engage others to do the same.
