I’m a master’s student in the History of Islam at Shahid Beheshti University, focusing on the concept of the university in Islamic societies. My academic journey is driven by deep questions about Iranian society and its intricate relationship with Islam. Born in Sirjan, rooted in Gonabad, and raised in Tehran, the diversity of Iran has shaped my curiosity and sense of home everywhere in this country. I hope my studies can help Iran develop stronger mechanisms for growth and dialogue through its universities and its society. My approach is conceptual history, investigating not just what happened, but how ideas and institutions evolved, especially in the context of higher education. Outside of academics, I’m a mountain climber, nature lover, philosophy enthusiast, and pipe smoker, always eager for a good hike, a thoughtful debate, or a meandering afternoon in a museum. I write and conduct research in both Persian and English, always aiming to connect Iran’s past and present for a wider audience.
My work
In addition to my historical writing and research, I actively serve as a mentor and organizer in the Persian Wikipedia Education Program at Shahid Beheshti University (since 2024). My focus is on empowering students and young contributors to participate in the Wikimedia movement and shape the future of open knowledge. As a Wikipedian, I help maintain the safety and quality of the platform by monitoring recent changes, reviewing articles nominated for deletion, and participating in community voting processes. I use my rights to patrol edits, revert vandalism, and protect content integrity, ensuring Persian Wikipedia remains a reliable resource.
