Because people consistently mistake my last name (Bartov) to be Russian, let me clarify it is in fact 100% Hebrew:

• "bar" is Hebrew (and Aramaic) for "son", as in the Jewish custom of "Bar mitzvah".
• "tov" is Hebrew for "good", as in the Hebrew congratulation "mazal tov".
• My last name, therefore, can be translated into English as "Goodson".
• (In fact, it was originally coined as a Hebrew translation of the Yiddish original family last name, Gutkind.)
