Organizational questions

  1. Yes, pl:WP:Przewodnicy.
  2. We have "przewodnicy", group of people who are mentors to newbies. The req. is to be registered for over half year, at least 1000 edits (including 750 in main namespace), never blocked cause community problems.
  3. Every "Przewodnik" adopts few newbies. Anyways there's a big lag, some people waits over month to get "przewodnik".
  4. Between mentors and newbies? Every possible way, mostly by IM and mail.

Teaching process

  1. I'm not a mentor, but still I help some newbies. I'm just trying to answer all of their question in easiest way I can.
  2. It depends, sometimes few weeks, sometimes a year.
  3. As in first question, they need explanations of their problems with Wikipedia in easiest way.

Success

  1. Newbies who are adopted by mentors - circa 150-200. Mentors - 35.
  2. If you mean "przewodnicy" page, it's not very successful. Newbies asks for help and they are usualy leaving Wikipedia forever, after few days. Also, some of mentors are very young and some older people feels uncomfortable when they are teached by 13 y.o. person.
  3. My newbies are usually improving articles, they write new ones rarely.
  4. Yes, as in 2nd answer.
  5. Not really, except some scripts on toolserver, but they are global.
