Hello! I am Bhargav, Ph.D. student in the Data Science Lab at EPFL. I research broadly in the sociology and culture of knowledge and the internet. I also have research experience in Machine Learning and python infrastructures (my google scholar). I received an MA in Computational Social Sciences at the University of Chicago, and am part of the international research collective, comp-syn, where we research at the intersection of aesthetics, cognition and culture.

I am interested in Wikipedia from multiple angles; studying patterns of user behaviour, as well as the structural relationships both internal to Wiki (how do topics relate to each other differently in different language editions?) and external (how do Google and Wikipedia relate to each other in the larger internet ecosystem?). I am also interested in quantification and identification of knowledge gaps on Wikipedia.
