About me

Led by my curiosity, my career has taken me from traditional print and radio journalism, via event coordination and rock and roll, to social media and brand strategy. On this journey I learned how to shape brands and use their power to advance an organisation's mission. Working in South Africa, other African markets and the USA has given me the knowledge and experience to help brands connect with diverse communities and show up in a meaningful way.

I love gardening, hiking and learning about plants and birds. In my personal capacity I enjoy adding images to articles, fixing small typos and simplifying language.

My work

As part of the Brand Team, I help to protect and build on the goodwill and love that exist for the brands collected under the Wikimedia movement – most notably Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation brands. I particularly enjoy working with volunteers to create various brand assets for events and projects that will help them achieve their goals. Read more about our work in the inaugural Brand Stewardship Report.
