Caroline Myrick
Senior Analyst, Wikimedia Foundation

About me

I began working for the Wikimedia Foundation in June 2022. My background is in the social sciences, focusing on language diversity and social inequality. I hold a Ph.D. in Sociology and an M.A. in English Linguistics. I have worked as a university instructor, a data scientist in the nonprofit sector, and a data analyst in the public sector. I am passionate about data transparency, language diversity and inclusion, and public access to information.

My work

I am an analyst on the Research team. My current work focuses primarily on

  • Knowledge Gaps, to understand and address structural inequalities in Wikimedia projects and the online ecosystem; and
  • supporting projects that serve Wikimedia volunteer developers (one of the four audiences the Research team serves).

For more details about current and past projects, see below.
