Dearest, dearest Wikipedia. :) It's almost been a year since the snowy winter of 2009 in which I fell in love with the Simple English Wikipedia, and I am now an active editor and administrator there under the pseudonym of Clementina.

The Simple English Wikipedia is a kind, warm, amusing, and educational place. I loved the small but wonderfully warm and sweet community. I loved the idea of adding I loved both sharing and learning free quality knowledge on the Internet, open for everyone to easily see. Every change would be one small step to help changing the world. For a young student like me, thirsty for knowledge, yet unable to find good, free material to study, especially on the dangerous, bewildering world of the Internet, Wikipedia was like a wellspring of clear water to me. Think about it. Entirely free knowledge for anyone to see! Isn't it wonderful?

However, Wikipedia and its sister projects rely almost entirely on kind donations from readers just like you. One of its best virtues—cleanly and neatly providing information without any advertisements—is also one of its weaknesses, for it leads to a lack of income. We need your help to continue running, dearest reader. It would truly be appreciated. Won't you please help keep Wikipedia and its sister projects open, free, and there for readers like you to enjoy? :)

Yours very sincerely and respectfully,
