What we fund and how to plan your project? [edit]

Movement Strategy Implementation Grants help communities to work on a Movement Strategy Initiatives. The projects can be big or small but all of them must support one initiative.

 • Read updates about the Movement Strategy initiative that you want to support.
 • Read the examples of what we fund.
 • Plan clearly and write precisely. Share and ask others for feedback.
 • Reach other community members and groups. Positive feedback from volunteers and affiliates not working on your project will help during the review process.

We will not fund if the proposal:

 • Does not show clear progress in the implementation of the Movement Strategy initiative. This will work even if you have many endorsements.
 • Does not have a complete explanation of how the activities are connected to the project goals.
 • Does not pass the eligibility criteria for the program.

The Movement Strategy Implementation Grants has three important steps. These steps help you and us to work together and receive feedback.

Step 1 - Finding your focus
In this step grants focus on four important initiatives:
 • Movement Charter (Initiative 22, Cluster A)
 • Regional and thematic hubs (Initiative 25, Cluster D)
 • Global approach for local skills development (Initiative 31, Cluster C)
 • Leadership development plan (Initiative 32, Cluster C)
Note: You can also submit proposals about other initiatives. If there are at least 5 different proposals about the same initiative, we will prioritise it too.
Step 2 - Community participation
Different communities have different needs. Your proposal should give us an idea of your needs and plans to solve the challenges. Talking and discussing with your community will help you and us to understand the community needs.
Step 3 - Plan to implement Movement Strategy initiative
We are in this together and look forward to working on plans to implement a Movement Strategy initiative. You can create your proposal using one or more examples.
