Hi! I'm Lucas Piantá, editing onwiki as Hedestad.

I'm from Porto Alegre and joined the Wikimedia Movement in 2018, volunteering for the Teoria da História na Wikipédia project as an undergraduate History student at UFSC. I also wrote a Master's Thesis on Museu Paulista's GLAM-Wiki initiative, as a CAPES Fellow at UFRGS.

My interests on Wikimedia's Strategy, governance and organization led me to participate at the LATAM and the Caribbean Regional Funds Committee between 2021 an 2024, and to be a current member of the Global Resource Distribution Committee. As a Wikimedia Brasil volunteer associate, I've been a member of WikiCon Brasil 2022 and 2025 excecutive committees, and collaborating at different capacities with the chapter's strategic processes.

Between 2021 and 2025 I worked for Wikimedia Brasil as the Manager of calibra, designing and implementing leadership capacity building programs aimed at supporting the strategic development of the Portuguese-speaking community. Since 2025, I've been acting as a community engagement and strategic planning consultant for projects, user groups and other initiatives within the Wikimedia Movement.
