My name is Mónica Paola, I was born in Bogota, Colombia. On Wikimedia I accompany some projects in native languages spoken in Colombia.
I am interested in many topics, so I think that Wikipedia is an important, impactful project that can be strengthened and used for social development. I work in research in which the language is a transversal axis and allows us to understand more about the perception, development of thought and social relationships between humans.
Among my fields of work, focus and interest are linguistics, computer, art, music, literature, cine, painting, among others-, Internet, society and cultures, psychology and human behavior. I am also very interested in Open-source software, digital divide, digital literacy, freedom of speech, the Internet privacy and Internet security. I work to make the World Wide Web better and for being a constructor and not a consumer of content on the Internet.
