Jabinekene, officially known as Ekene Chibueze Amaechi, hails from Owerri North Local Government Area in Imo State, Nigeria. A devout lover of God and a committed Christian, he is the last child of his parents and carries with him a deep sense of humility, gratitude, and purpose.
Ekene earned his Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics/Igbo from Imo State University, Owerri in 2014. Driven by a passion for people, culture, and organisational development, he furthered his education in the United Kingdom, completing an MSc in Human Resource Management at Glasgow Caledonian University on November 26, 2025.
A prolific writer with a strong creative voice, Ekene’s published novel Chidera stands as a testament to his literary talent and his commitment to storytelling in the Igbo language. His passion for the development, sustenance, and promotion of Igbo is the heartbeat of his work. As an Igbo teacher, he not only writes his literary works in Igbo but also actively contributes to the preservation of the language through education and advocacy.
Since 2020, he has served as a translator and editor with the Igbo Wikimedia User Group, contributing to the expansion of Igbo digital knowledge and ensuring that the language thrives in global information spaces.
At the core of Ekene’s worldview is his life philosophy: “Live and let live” — égbè bere ugo bere, nke sị ibe ya e bela, nku a kwala ya, kama ya zi ya ebe ọ ga-ebe. He believes deeply in the transformative power of love and sees it as the ultimate solution to the world’s challenges. Through his work, his writing, and his daily interactions, he strives to embody this principle, inspiring others to do the same.
