Kathleensmith is a Toronto-based writer, filmmaker, web designer and curator. Co-founder of the Moving Pictures Festival of Dance on Film and Video and former editor of The Dance Current magazine, Smith investigates issues in performance and culture in many locations, through a variety of means.

With Philip Szporer in Montreal, Smith is part of the collective dance + words, which is dedicated to developing ideas around cultural discourse through projects such as Critical Conversations and the Wikipedia Dance Project.
