About me
I started to edit on Serbian Wikipedia for the first time in 2015. For my volunteer activities, you can see my contributions here under username Vilena66.I have been a volunteer at Wikimedia Serbia since 2017 and have been regularly active in projects. I was part of the Wikimedia Serbia Board from 2023 to 2024. From 2024, I started working at Wikimedia Serbia as a Diversity Program Manager.
My work
As a Diversity Program Manager at Wikimedia Serbia, I am in charge of designing and implementing projects that encourage the inclusion of marginalized and underrepresented groups, such as the Roma community, the LGBTI+ population, and people with disabilities, on Wikimedia's platforms. My job includes educating these communities to edit Wikipedia, animating and leading a team of volunteers, as well as actively implementing the organization's strategic directions regarding equality and reducing the gender gap. In addition to operational planning, monitoring and evaluation of local activities, I am also in charge of international cooperation with other branches of Wikimedia, presentation of projects at conferences and participation in global campaigns for the dissemination of free knowledge.
