This template produces a link to a specified page, except if the page title is equal to the name specified on the source page inside onlyinclude tags; in that case the page title is bolded without link, like a self link. This can be used to extend the self link feature so as to apply also to a link with a target page that redirects to the source page. This can even be used to prepare the page for a possible future page move: if the specified page title is originally equal to the name of the page itself, and the page is moved, leaving a redirect behind, the name of this redirect is the original page name, which is the page title specified inside the onlyinclude tags.
