We have prepared a list of roughly 30 collegial, experienced Wikipedians who will be happy to answer your questions, to help in your editing, and generally smooth your way. They are all working scientists or physicians.

Ways you can contribute[edit]
The following suggestions focus on article contributions. However, there are vast areas of contribution unrelated to this. For example, there is Wikipedia:WikiProject Copyright Cleanup that addresses plagiarism, the Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit that helps remove obvious vandalism, and the Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard, where editors go to ask questions about sourcing. In other words, we are just giving you the tip of the iceberg!
- Comment on articles that have been nominated for Featured article candidacy, Good article candidacy, or Peer review
- Suggest improvements to articles on their talk pages
- Make small corrections to articles
- Add references to sentences and/or paragraphs of articles
- Upload existing "free" media (images, sounds, video)
- Create a list of reliable sources for others to use
- Organize or reorganize articles
- Improve or create the lead section of articles
- Create and reference new sections of articles
- Expand articles by adding and referencing multiple sections
- Design media (diagrams, animations, etc.)
- Revise/begin an entire article, achieving Good Article and/or Featured Article status
- Improve a set of articles spanning a particular topic, creating a Featured Topic

Let's break the ice by showing you how easy it is to contribute to Wikipedia. Click on the [edit] link at the far right, and type your name into the box. Type "name" into the Edit summary box, and click on the button "Save changes".
