Commentaries on Emerging Countries and Global South[edit]

  • While Wikimedia Foundation keep focusing on trust and safety issues and other politically correct projects, Chinese Wiki (baike) such as en:w:Baike.com already have 16 millions+ articles and en:w:Baidu Baike already have 15.4 millions+ articles, while Indian with Hindi language families wikis are currently forming. What about English Wikipedia? They stay at pitifully 5 millions+ articles.
  • WMF definitely lost the way, forgetting the reader, the people themselves, population of China is 1.4 Billions and population of india is 1.3 Billions, A potential Reader! Combined, a potential of 2 billions reader or user! This is the consequences of ignoring Emerging Countries and Global South, now there's an argument that says Wikipedia is blocked in China Total nonsense I daresay! We just had to comply with local government policies for local wikipedia/wikis. Or we could just ignore China and get Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan and/or any other Global south countries which is actually densely packed with population (AKA potential reader, potential user, and potential donor).
