Advance Wikisource Workshop

Brief description: Advance Wikisource Workshop for very active members from Punjabi Wikisource.
What part of this program will remain the same and why?The main objective to improve quality of Punjabi Wikisource will remain the same.

History: CIS-A2K conducted one Basic Wikisource Training Workshop in November 2018.

What part of this program will change and why? Earlier this programme was focused on the basic Wikisource editing. But now most active members need advance training for Wikisource. This will also can be the follow-up event of first Wikisource training workshop.
Target

1. Around 10 most active participants.
2. One expert.
3. To organize this event out of Patiala city.
4. Follow-up event for new editors after this workshop.

Skill building

Brief description:Digitization capacity building program and Mini TTTs are planned for the community in Punjab to improve skills of members.

History:CIS-A2K started Digitization Capacity Building Program in March 2019. Interested participants are learning scanning and book uploading process.

What part of this program will remain the same and why?The objectives and structure of the programs will remain same.

What part of this program will change and why?CIS-A2K is giving training to Wikimedians one by one by inviting them to come in Patiala. CIS-A2K will change this method and will approach participants to learn this process in their city.

Target The targets are:

1. One Mini TTT.
2. 10 people for digitization capacity program.
3. Helping guide in the Punjabi language for digitization process.

Leadership development

Brief description:CIS-A2K will conduct one event per month with the help of one community member from that city.

History:CIS-A2K conducted one event in February with the help of local organizer.

What part of this program will remain the same and why? The objective will be same to increase leadership skills between community members.

What part of this program will change and why?

Target The targets are:

1. To bring interested members as a leader.

Editathons

Wikidata Editathon

When?:PENDING, Where?:, Number of participants:10

Brief description:CIS-A2K will organize an Wikidata editahon to link non-linked Wikipedia articles with their Wikidata items.

History:In September 2017 and December 2018, Asaf Bartov gave Wikidata training to Punjabi Wikimedians. There was only one follow up editathon happened after 2017's training.

Why? Because Punjabi Wikimedians have not organized any Wikidata editathon. They got basic training of Wikidata by Asaf Bartov. So, CIS-A2K will organize an editathon in Punjab on Wikidata to improve Punjabi language data on Wikidata. This will increase the quality of Punjabi Wikipedia.

How? This editathon will cover to link, non-linked Wikipedia articles with Wikidata items and to create new items of Punjabi Wikipedia articles.
Target:

1. To link 200 Punjabi Wikipedia articles with Wikidata.
2. Participation of 10 Punjabi Wikimedians.

Categorython

When?:PENDING, Where?:, Number of participants:20

Brief description:CIS-A2K will organize Categorython on Punjabi Wikipedia to categorize Punjabi Wikipedia articles.

History:In February 2017, Punjabi Wikimedians had similar categorython.

Why? Because the last categorython happened two years ago. This will help to improve the quality of Punjabi Wikipedia articles and to categorize those articles which don't have any category.

How? This categorython editathon will be of 20 days or one month. This will cover Punjabi Wikipedia articles, files, to categorize Wikipedia categories and templates.
Target:

1. To categorize 500 Punjabi Wikipedia articles.
2. Participation of 20 Punjabi Wikimedians.
3. One day offline categorython event.

Wikipedia workshops and Community meetups

When?: One per month, Where?:District places in Punjab, Number of participants: PENDING

Brief description:Wikipedia workshops in diffrent cities of Punjab will be conducted for increasing editor base, expansion and outreach.

History: CIS-A2K has been conducting regular workshops or meetups in Punjab for the last seven months as most of the workshops were done in Patiala.

What part of this program will remain the same and why? Workshop or meet-up once in a month will remain and one meetup in two months in Patiala will remain same because most of the wikimedians are from Patiala and It will help the community to discuss activities easily by sitting together.

What part of this program will change and why?Most of the meetups or workshops were done in Patiala . So, most of the Wikimedians are Patiala based. CIS-A2K will conduct workshops or meetups out of Patiala district.

Targets:

1. Meetups in Faridkot, Mansa, Moga, Bathinda and Jalandher districts.
2. Around 10 participants per workshop.
