About me

I have been a Wikimedia volunteer since November 2005, working primarily on Wikimedia Commons, where I am a community-elected administrator, bureaucrat and oversighter.

Apart from Commons, I have contributed to areas such as configuration requests, localisations, outreach and communications; among others, I was involved with Wiki Loves Monuments in 2011–12, and co-created the Tech News newsletter in 2013.

This account is used in my capacity as a staff member at the Foundation, while my volunteer account is used in my personal capacity as a volunteer community member. If you have any queries relating to my volunteer work, please go to my talk page on Wikimedia Commons.

My work

I joined the Foundation as a part-time contractor in July 2016 and I work with the Communications department as a writer for the Wikimedia blog. In my work, I get to discover and share the incredible, inspiring stories of Wikimedia contributors from across the world, helping to explain the people, values, and efforts behind this movement to a truly global audience.

If you have a story to share, please send me an e-mail and I'll be more than happy to help!

Disclaimer: I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, so edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
