How did you attend Wikimania (virtually or in-person)?

[edit]

Virtually

What did you spend the scholarship funds on?

[edit]
I used the money from the grant to buy connection equipment, data, meals and help with childcare; the fund helped me put all these things together, which made my Wikimania 2022 eventful.

Takeaways: Choose 3 specific Wikimania sessions you attended and describe your key take-aways per session.

[edit]

Poetry in Motion I was surprised to know that wikimedians exist in the UAE, and Wikipedia is a free source of knowledge for all. The presentation of the poets was rich in new knowledge. I especially admired the presentation of Arkham.

Laughter Mediation

I participated in this youtube session and learned how to stretch my body by jumping, massaging my face and much more. It was fun, I enjoyed the session and I still do the exercises she taught us.

Education and Partnership Passionate about education reform in the context of SDG4, I am happy to see how Wikipedia enables schools, colleges and universities to use Wikipedia for studying and how they also contribute to it.

I especially like the ability of faculty and students to come together for the common welfare of the institution and improve their reading and teaching skills, it is a wonderful initiative.

How did you connect with other people during Wikimania 2022? How did you celebrate at Wikimania 2022?

[edit]

I thank the whole wikimania team for thinking about organizing such an event especially for us Africans who are disconnected. I had a great experience participating on the pheedloop platform where I met incredible wikimedians and I also participated in the radacted guessing game presented by Jan Ainali.
