The Speax project aims is both a project-based teaching project and an e-learning project aiming to create a solid open content language learning system within the French academic network. Based on Matthieu Cisel's multi-lingual parallel sentences datasets, Speax consolidates open content language resources around it. Exercises are then creates on those resources, on a peer-language basis. The development model is semi-public, semi-open source : the university of Cergy's academic and technical staff pilotes and facilitate the project, while computer and data sciences students improve resources and services on a yearly basis. As of 2022, 7 languages have solid resources while e-learning services is available for Arabic, the pilote language. Products will be open source and reuse Wikimedia Commons and Lingua Libre's contents.
