Alphabet[edit]

I left this reply on the proposal page, but you didn't seem to get it, so I will post here too.

I looked on English wiki, and it said nothing about the use of Latin Alphabet for Ottoman. If you are correct, 1927 to 1960 is only 33 years. Very short compared to the centruies of use of Arabic script. Also, according to the English Wikipedia, because of it's identified with Islam, Arabic script was seldom used by non Muslims. Jews used Hebrew script for it, Greeks used Greek script, and Armenians used Armenian script to write Ottoman. Should we include those scripts too?--Fox Mccloud 02:32, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ottoman Alphabet[edit]

I understand what you are saying. Tarih does not have an Ottoman keyboard either. What he does is he typs it into Azerbaijani Wikipedia, than copies and pasts into Ottoman test wikipedia. On the Azerbaycan Wikipedia, you can click on the letter you want below the edit window. We want a feature like that on Ottoman Wiki, but I do not believe that is possible yet while it is still just a test Wiki. I hope that helps.--Fox Mccloud 15:23, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You can also use this Persian keyboard, which has most, if not all of the letters you will need to write Ottoman, as well as numerals.--Fox Mccloud 17:00, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good. I'll link to both on the main page. Please contribute to Ottoman Wiki.--Fox Mccloud 14:53, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Voting[edit]

Hello, I would like to remind you that votes on the Requests for new languges without arguments are meaningless and will be ignored. If you have nothing to say concerning the languages you are voting about then just don't do it and especially not if your reasons are nationalistic ones. This behaviour does nothing but damaging the wikipedia community.--Lefcant 00:26, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did you make it? Would you please explain its license?--Jusjih 20:05, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
