[edit]Is it ok if I ask about what is going on with my appeal and what the admins are talking about through email? Masai giraffe (talk) 21:59, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Please stick to UTRS, sorry. -- asilvering (talk) 22:20, 27 July 2025 (UTC)
- Would you happen to know why the appeal was declined? Masai giraffe (talk) 19:06, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- I got an email but it doesn’t say the key and reason. Masai giraffe (talk) 19:23, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- You've been banned from UTRS for a year. I'm sorry, but we've all tried to explain the reason to you many times. -- asilvering (talk) 22:30, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- It just took so long, I wasn’t sure if that was the reason. When a year passes, I will provide an in depth reason of my understanding of my behavior. May I ask another question, is it against the rules to remove info that is backed by another source that is different. Just wondering if that had something to do with my block if that’s a rule, later on I will abide by that. Masai giraffe (talk) 22:46, 30 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Masai giraffe, please stop emailing me about this block. -- asilvering (talk) 01:36, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- Ok, I just wanted to know what the rules are so I can do better in future. Masai giraffe (talk) 00:09, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
- @Masai giraffe, please stop emailing me about this block. -- asilvering (talk) 01:36, 15 September 2025 (UTC)

- @Square Guard, you have to appeal the block on your original account. You can't keep creating new sockpuppets. Every time you do that, we're going to reset the six-month timer on en:WP:SO. Please wait until mid-March before making another appeal. -- asilvering (talk) 14:42, 17 September 2025 (UTC)

- You need to appeal the block on your earliest created account. You can appeal using en:UTRS, but not until mid-March. -- asilvering (talk) 02:09, 26 September 2025 (UTC)

Updates from Capacity Exchange (CapX)!
[edit]
Hello Asilvering,
My name is Joris Darlington Quarshie, and I am an Outreach Facilitator for the Capacity Exchange (CapX) — a platform for finding and connecting with peers to exchange knowledge and skills on a global level.
CapX is a community-built tool, designed by and for the Wikimedia Movement, to make it easier for Wikimedians across the world to find and connect, collaborate, and exchange skills and knowledge with peers.
If you don't know it yet, I invite you to access capx.toolforge.org and create your user profile with your Wikimedia account. But, if you already have a profile, I invite you to check out the new features and possibilities we just launched. I am sure you will be delighted.
CapX's new version incorporates valuable community feedback gathered over the past months, including the Organization Profile - a feature for Wikimedia affiliates, initiatives, or community groups to create their own CapX presence (see here how to create yours).

Complaint
[edit]Why have you blocked my IP address please? ~2025-34011-10 (talk) 12:28, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
- You'll have to ask that on the wiki on which I blocked you. -- asilvering (talk) 16:07, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
At what point do i get unblocked
[edit]ive been trying to no avail its been nearly a year since my block and i still can’t get unblocked what do i do Cyberwolf (talk) 19:50, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
- Above all, you need to stop appealing your block. Your next opportunity is September 10, but I don't recommend it. Go do other things. Live your life. Wikipedia will still be here a year from now, or two years from now, and probably even ten. For now, let it go. -- asilvering (talk) 19:58, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
- Why man? I’m fine. At this point id take it to AN because this is just excessive. Cyberwolf (talk) 23:37, 24 March 2026 (UTC)
- At this point sockpuppeting seems logical cause what are you gonna do? Check user a user contributing.
Does the standard offer not apply
What’s the point of this block now?
I would like to see the community debate my block Cyberwolf (talk) 23:50, 24 March 2026 (UTC)- @Cyberwolf, I'm going to say this very plainly: you have many bad ideas available to you, and that would be one of the worst. The standard offer applies. That's September 10. -- asilvering (talk) 01:21, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- Excuse me? It’s been 11 months since my block and 6 months since my last appeal. The appeal i made was denied without comment today Cyberwolf (talk) 01:47, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- And I’ve made at least 3000 edits to the commons in that 11 month span. I’ve stayed out of trouble and have made significant improvements to my mental wellness. I’m ready to come back. This saga has been going on for too long. And i just want to contribute. Yeah i had a mental episode this time last year and I apologize for that and I’ve improved significantly. Cyberwolf (talk) 01:55, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- In your previous appeal, you were told you would be banned from UTRS for a year. You were mistakenly banned only for six months, which is how you were able to appeal more recently. The error was corrected. I'm sorry you didn't receive a comment explaining that - you obviously should have. -- asilvering (talk) 02:19, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- Oh… Cyberwolf (talk) 02:30, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- I apologize then I didn’t know Cyberwolf (talk) 02:32, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- I'm sorry it wasn't more clear. In any case, please enjoy life beyond Wikipedia, at least until the fall. -- asilvering (talk) 02:35, 25 March 2026 (UTC)
- Not an problem apologies for my attitude i will be back in the fall Cyberwolf (talk) 02:39, 25 March 2026 (UTC)

Block terms
[edit]before i put time into a project would operating a bot which reads the en.wiki where im blocked copying the contents of a template and imports it into the simple version of Wikipedia, count as ban evasion? I just don’t want to violate the possibility of an standard offer Cyberwolf (talk) 23:12, 29 March 2026 (UTC)
- So long as you're not editing English Wikipedia, you're fine. -- asilvering (talk) 03:11, 30 March 2026 (UTC)
