As an example, of the Darwikinism vs. Battlefield of ideas thing, anyone who uses the phrase "ecosystem of ideas" is an enemy of the trolls.

Trolls know that ecosystems are real, alive, and have bodies, whereas ideas do not. They respect bodies, and attack and ruin and kill ideas. Which is good.

Right?

I don't understand this comment : ChrisG

Chris

thanks for your comments on my m:Referees page. I've had to split it as it was getting too big to edit, and I've lost the first of your most recent edits I think... I can't see in the diff display what you did, sorry. Anyway, it would be good for you to have a look and make sure I've got the other two right, too.

Feel free to move your comments back to the main page if that is what you want to do, I've now set up a section for this. But I'd like my stuff to stay in the subpage. As I said, this is just for ease of editing. Andrewa 15:37, 12 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Hello Chris, I wrote the comment on the sociology of the Wikipedia (Meta-Wiki social investigation division, as I would call it informally) Have you read the mailing list?, especialy of the foreign Wikipedias (at least the french one is very active), besides the english one. They seem to be a good sample of the community relations in them. A lot of lines of investigation or comments can be made from that material. Also, is there the posibiliy to have a social survey on the users (I`am thinking of the most active editors mainly) on some topics and attitudes. I think of the need to recruit more social scientist or people with a good working knwoledge of social sciences that edit in the Wikipedias (english and others), to explore or map out lines of investigation and reflection on this brave new experiment. Hi JorgeGG. Thanks for the message. I haven't got on the mailing list yet, i will sooner or later. I'm interested in your proposal, but I haven't got that far yet in my thinking. I produced the page, because I thought it was important to bring that information together so it could be built upon. Wikipedia is an example of a really strong culture; but I feel it is quite an unconscious one, and things would go smoother if people really understood the foundation of the principles and ideas Wikipedia is built upon. : ChrisG 21:18, 23 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Dynamic articles

[edit]

Hi Chris,

You wrote that you got the extension Dynamic article list working. I've installed it but get an error message:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CLASS in /home/mart1633/public_html/wiki/includes/CategoryTravelerBase.php on line 9

Did you come across this? If so how did you overcome it?
