  1. It's harder to earn trust on structured data than human-readable text -- compare WikiPedia to DBPedia.
  2. Despite thousands of person-years of effort, the LOD cloud is not trusted for infrastructure.
  3. Successful alternative, e.g. ViVO, Open PHACTS, offer quality curation and stability.
  4. Agreed-upon schemas and clear migration paths enable institutional trust.
