BrowserDetect

[edit]

Double check there are no spaces or lines before the first "<?php"

Sorry about the OS thing, forgot and just got the browser, will work on this today to get the OS. -Amgine 13:06, 28 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

I've built and done some initial testing of a new browserosdetect extension. I couldn't remember where your wiki was, and could only find the front for Loria, so I put it up here on meta. User:Amgine/BrowserOsDetect 0.2 alpha is the description page, and the source is linked there. So far it tests okay with a range of linux browsers (Lynx is a problem on couple of *nix platforms), it works on Mac (problem when using IE), and seems to report well on Windows XP. I'm still trying to get tests for other platforms/OSes. - Amgine 15:19, 2 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Detect updates

[edit]

I'm not sure if the Loria version has some additional changes or what, but the current boxen (a Mac OSX) is now showing on Loria as a Linux box. It also has a very very wrong User Agent string ("Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050513 Galeon/1.3.21 (Debian package 1.3.21-6)"). The VLClink is, of course, broken for me since it assumes I'm on the wrong box.

I'll test out the change to the Mac regex to see if it works when I get a chance. - Amgine 22:39, 2 August 2005 (UTC)Reply

Current status

[edit]

I haven't been working on it; I only recently returned from holiday and am still catching up. It looks like your detect page is working, though. Was there anything else you needed added to it? - Amgine 01:30, 3 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
