User talk:LeoRomero/feedbackform

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki
  • The idea that creating more rules improves anything is a misconception. Less is more!
  • The words "no more than three lines" are meaningless. 3 lines on an iPhone's screen are only a handful of words, but on my beamer I can write a novel in three lines.
  • Restricting the amount of lines/sentences/words is a bad idea. You can write something like "Participants are encouraged to limit themselves to ?? sentences/words" or "Please keep your proposal as short as possible".
  • Explicitly asking people to be civil/kind is quite impolite. Do you assume that they won't be if you don't ask them to? Criticizing a bad idea someone had isn't unkind, you are helping them improve their idea, and honest feedback is far kinder than pretending their ideas are good when they are actually bad.
  • The "Submit your suggestion" form should have a prefilled list of endorsements where people can simply add their signature.
