AWB and PMID links[edit]

Moved from en:User talk:JJMC89

Hello! Unfortunately, AutoWikiBrowser's general fixes breaks [[PMID:number|PMID number]] links, converting them into [[PMID number]]. Would it be possible that Magic links bot searches and fixes them till I fill a Phabricator ticket (and developers solve the problem)? Bencemac (talk) 12:47, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

@Bencemac: I wrote a quick script to handle this. Unfortunately, I ran it on the wrong bot for the initial run (33 pages). I've scheduled a daily check (using the correct account). — JJMC89(T·C) 19:51, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
Thank you very much! First, I had wanted to write here – on Meta – but I chose your home wiki; sorry about it. Bencemac (talk) 06:48, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
No worries! I moved it here just to keep all the discussions about the bot together. — JJMC89(T·C) 06:51, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

The problem has been resolved, many thanks! Bencemac (talk) 06:08, 21 August 2018 (UTC)

Usage of tool on Incubator[edit]

I am currently a test wiki admin in Incubator. I have recently gone through the task done by this bot. I would like to know whether your code can be used in Incubator also. I have seen the source code of your tool in Github but was not knowing how it can be used with AWB. Please check the category Pages using ISBN magic links. The difference that occurs is that each of the pages will be having an additional prefix before the name of the page. When used in AWB, I think that issue can be resolved. @Adithyak1997: It should work in Incubator; however, since each test wiki has its own templates, each one would need to be configured separately. The bot doesn't use AWB; it is a Python script that depends on Pywikibot. — JJMC89(T·C) 20:40, 14 June 2019 (UTC)
