Alternative self-organization[edit]

I like the idea of a self-organization of the chapters, but I think a "rotating presidency" model may not be ideal. The majority of the chapters probably would not be mature enough at this stage to direct their surplus energies toward international leadership on this scale. I think we may be served better by an elective presidency among the chapters, which would of course also be of a temporary nature. This would ensure that any chapter taking a leadership role first has confidence in itself to perform this task, and also the confidence of its sister chapters.--Pharos 00:33, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hm, although an election is competitive, and I dare say based on current evidence that the chapters are not very good at coordinating votes as such. --pfctdayelise 11:35, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good point. I think possibly if the rotation order went from older chapters to newer ones (I guess starting with WM DE), then we can get the benefit of starting with more established chapters without the hassles of voting schemes.--Pharos 16:51, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
