steward translation to "דייל"

שלום! בעקבות הודעתך כי יש לתרגם את Steward בעברית ל"דייל". האם זוהי החלטה רשמית? במידה וכן, כמובן שעליי לקבל את זה. במידה ולא, הרי שהתרגום בברור שגוי וכל מה שיש לעשות זה לפתוח מילון ולראות שלמילה "Steward" בעברית מספר פירושים וכמובן שבמסגרת התפקיד הכוונה היא לא ל"דייל" אלא לפירוש בנוסח "מנהל" או "שרת". הסיבה היחידה שהרשתי לעצמי לבצע שינוי כה דרסטי הייתה כי היה נדמה לי שאין שום איזור בו ניתן לנהל דיון בנושא. שוב, במידה והתרגום עדיין איננו "רשמי" יש לדון בשם שהקשר בינו לבין הגדרת התפקיד הוא מקרי בהחלט (בעיניי לפחות...). תודה! אני מסכים שזהו תרגום בעייתי למדי (למרות שהדיילים "עוברים בין המיזמים" כדי לבצע משימות מיוחדות כפי שהדיילים "עוברים בין הנוסעים" במטוס), אבל זהו התרגום שהתקבל בעברית ואין כיום אפשרות מעשית לשנותו. דיון נערך בוויקיפדיה העברית. – rotemliss – Talk 15:19, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
