- Abstract (maximum 500 words)
I am an Assistant Professor at Jadavpur University, Kolkata. I cater to the demands of young minds in an urban milieu everyday. I believe the Wiki Conference would help me to generate ideas for my students to be more constructively involved in Wiki projects. This would in turn initiate future interest in forging much needed relations between the dynamic changes within humanities and computational data and archiving processes. The conference would in turn also help me to encourage my students to be part of such cutting-edge collaborative research with a comprehensive understanding of Wiki functionality/ communication methods. On my return, I hope to build teams with my students, in particular, female students, involving them in the expanding interdisciplinary areas of Wiki projects, especially in the eastern zone of India, with a specific emphasis on visual media strategies, gender roles, social relations.
