Abstract/description of your session[edit]
Say what you want about social media but it can’t be denied that it has something that real life lacks. Immediacy, global reach and a platform to share your interests, likes and dislikes. It’s no news to us about the achievements of all our regional wikipedians in their own languages and fields. It’s the question of what these achievements have helped us with. Instead of being just achievements it’s just a few taps away from being used as motivation for other new users and the general public to do as much as all of us and more. How does it connect with the WCI 2023 theme/focus[edit]
This session will brush through a few ideas on social media platforms. These I believe will help in strengthening the bonds as per the theme of WIC within our community and increasing the strengths well outside the community. The notion of unity is strength is the basis of this session as I believe social media is the fastest way to reach our target population and achieve our goals much faster.
