Abstract/description of your session[edit]

Do you know that Wikipedia's mobile applications are for Android and iOS devices? Did you use them before in reading, searching, and editing? Have you heard about the new feature that was created to help users, especially the Indian teacher who contacted us before?

Well, the answer to all of this and more will be discussed during this workshop!

How does it connect with the WCI 2023 theme/focus[edit]

As a community relations specialist supporting the apps team at Wikimedia foundation, we are working globally to connect with: Users who use Wikipedia's mobile applications, And new areas with potential users to expand our scale of usage, definitely South Asia one of these areas; please check this for more information about one of our new features T313269, you can find that we have target regions and languages: South Asia (India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal).

Attendees will learn: how to download the app, search, read and edit Wikipedia's articles via their own devices. Also, they will have a direct channel to deliver their feedback, comments, and suggestions about these apps.

Attending this conference and giving this workshop will facilitate future communications between the apps team and users in this very important area.
