Objectives and Activities

The primary goal of WikiConference Kerala is to support and promote the Wikimedia projects within the region, enhancing the availability and quality of content in Malayalam Wikimedia projects. The conference serves as a platform for:

• Networking: Bringing together individuals and organisations that share a common interest in Wikimedia projects and open knowledge.
• Workshops: Conducting hands-on sessions focused on various aspects of Wikimedia, including editing Wikipedia, using Wikidata, and understanding structured open data.
• Community Building: Strengthening ties among local Wikimedians and related communities, such as OpenStreetMap Kerala and OpenData Kerala.
