We suggest holding a nearby meet-up of Wikimedia fans Club in Federal University Of Kashere Gombe State, Nigeria, as a component of the WikiIndaba 2023 convention. An annual conference called WikiIndaba brings together contributors to Wikipedia from all around Africa to exchange ideas, stories, and work on projects together. As a largely hybrid event, this year's WikiIndaba will be held from November 3–5, 2023, in Agadir, Morocco. Participants will be able to interact both in-person and digitally.
Our proposed venue for the local in-person gathering in Kashere is the prestigious Federal University Of Kashere, which offers an ideal setting for Wikimedia enthusiasts, students, academics, and professionals and the likes, to come together to participate in WikiIndaba 2023.
Increased Wikimedia Presence: This event will help the projects in Federal University of Kashere under Gombe State and throughout Nigeria become more visible and have a bigger impact.
Knowledge Sharing: By holding seminars, discussions, and sessions focused on Wikimedia projects, we hope to promote information exchange, teamwork, and networking among attendees.
Accessibility: We will make sure that the event is accessible to a large audience, taking into account elements like the venue, the language, and the accessibility features for those with impairments.
There will be a session when participants can ask questions and clarify things with the presenters or experts to better understand

Bembety is the founder of the Wikimedia Fan Club at Fedaral University of Kashere and the applicant for the proposed WikiIndaba 2023 project in the state. He has played a key role in facilitating, editing, numerous projects in northern and Southern Nigeria, including leading Wikimedia Awareness In Ummah College of Health Science and Technology and Wikimedia and also participated in diffferent campang throught different countries.
Zaydmaaji He actively participated in various Wikimedia promotion campaigns at educational institutions like Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo and Federal University Kashere.
Sajewole36 actively engaged in various campaigns, including Wikimedia Promotions, held at institutions like Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo and Federal University Kashere. These campaigns aimed to promote Wikimedia's mission of knowledge sharing and open access to information. His participation showcased his commitment to advancing education and knowledge dissemination.
Yusufys56has actively participated in multiple campaigns, including Wikimedians Gombe Connect Campaign, WikiClimateCampusTourNigeria, and Wikimedia Promotions at various educational institutions like Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo and Federal University Kashere. These campaigns reflect his dedication to promoting knowledge-sharing and environmental awareness through Wikimedia initiatives.
BYT38 involvement in numerous projects, including WikiClimateCampusTourNigeria at Federal University Kashere, WikiWikiClimateCampusTourNigeria, and Wikimedia Promotions in Federal University Kashere, showcases his active engagement in initiatives aimed at promoting climate awareness and knowledge-sharing through Wikimedia platforms.

About 35 editors are expected to actively participate in the WikiIndaba 2023 initiative in Federal University Of Kashere, Gombe, Nigeria. To increase their involvement in Wikimedia projects, these editors will partake in a variety of activities, including as seminars, talks, and networking events. Their participation will be facilitated by the microfunding support, which will help this program succeed.

We are sincerely grateful for the time and effort you invested in applying for a micro-grant for WikiIndaba 2023. Your interest in contributing to this event is highly appreciated.
Unfortunately, we have to inform you that your application was not selected for the micro-grant. We received an overwhelming number of quality applications (77 applications for only 7 grants), which made the decision process extremely challenging. Given the constraints, our focus has been on projects from underrepresented communities or groups that lack on-site representation at the conference. The team decided therefore to provide the grants only to countries where there are no user groups at the moment.
Though your application was not selected, we greatly value your interest in WikiIndaba 2023.
