Report on the Participation of ولاء at WikiIndaba 2023 in Agadir, Morocco

That's was my 3rd WikiIndaba after 2018 & 2019. Such a great experience. I was the only representant of Egypt in this conference & the only Arabic admin. So, I was part of the session .

Outcome

What significant learning or outcome do you take away from your participation?

1. Networking.
2. Discovering the Amazigh culture of Morocco.
3. Being part of Wiki Podcast, by Wikimedia Morocco.
4. Building new initiatives and developing partnerships with other Arab; African communities, institutions and organizations which are interesting in free knowledge; healthy cultured community.

Impact

What impact the conference had on you and community plans, and what actions will you undertake to share learnings with your community?

1. Reinvigorating Wikimedian activities; photo contests & education program in Egyptian universities.
2. Gaining more awareness of Wikidata for other Wikimedians projects.
3. Having more collaboration with female institutions to decrease the gender gap on Wikipedia
4. Cooperating with the all communities regarding educational progress in universities.

• It was one of the best conferences I have attended. I had a problem while traveling & they resolved it immediately.
