Wikimedia Space is a platform for movement organizers, affiliates, contributors, partners, and the Foundation to share news, questions, and conversations. It is a single place for collaboration, comprising Blog and Discuss hubs. Newcomers are welcome too, with a corner to ask any questions in any language, a simple user interface, social features, and a code of conduct to build a place that is friendly to everyone.
In the first half of this workshop, we will walk through the basic features of Wikimedia Space, like how to submit news, place an event in the map, request a public or a closed group for local collaboration in your preferred language...
Then, we will open a discussion to gather questions, ideas, requests, criticism... about the use of Wikimedia Space to support existing and new communities in the Arab region. Ideally, a group of Space ambassadors could emerge from this workshop, to continue this collaboration after the event.
