Overview

FGBC WIKI CLUB] is an active community of Wikimedians, comprised of Secondary School Stdents, Teachers and other participants. They are dedicated to contributing to the EduWiki Nigeria Activities including various projects under the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF). The group works collaboratively with individuals or organizations that share similar goals. It is an integral part of the larger [[<tvar name=1> [Nigeria/Introduction].

Backstory

After participating in the Reading Wikipedia in the Classroom 2023 training of teachers, Oby Ezeilo recognized the need to create another Wiki club in Federal Government Boys College Garki Abuja raising awareness of training opportunities in the Wiki space and teachers sharing the beautiful knowlege they have acquired with their students, and as a teacher my students will not be left out. Bearing this in mind, she took the initiative to organize a training on Kiwixapp under the initiative of Kiwix4Schools project organized by open foundation ghana. The training was a resounding success, More students and teachers were eager to participate in the next training.
