The Wiki Loves Folklore, India 2024 Photowalk is an upcoming event organized by Wiki Club SATI, aimed at documenting and celebrating the rich folklore heritage of India through photography. The photowalk will commence at the Tribal Museum, a hub of indigenous art and culture, showcasing artifacts, artworks, and exhibits that highlight the traditional practices and lifestyles of various tribal groups across India. Participants will have the chance to photograph intricately crafted handicrafts, vibrant costumes, and immersive displays depicting tribal folklore and customs.


Aim[edit]

The primary objective of the 'Wiki Loves Folklore, India 2024 Photowalk' is to capture and document the folklore traditions, rituals, and cultural expressions prevalent among India's diverse communities. Through photography, participants will contribute to Wikimedia Commons(WLF 2024).

Flow of Event[edit]

1. Arrival of Selected Students: Participants arrive at the venue by 11:30 AM.

2. Introduction and Photography Tips: At 12:00 PM, there will be an introduction session about folklore and photography tips to guide participants.

3. Food Packet Distribution: Food packets will be distributed to the participants for refreshment.

4. Explore Tribal Culture: Participants will explore the tribe and culture capturing photographs of artifacts and exhibits at the Tribal Museum.

5. Closing Session: The event will conclude with a closing session where participants can share their experiences and insights.

6. Optional Cultural Event: Following the photo walk, some participants may choose to stay for a cultural dance and music event organized at the Tribal Museum.
