Wiki Loves Local Laws is a project digitizing Pangasinan local laws and ordinances is a step in the realization of providing the public the right to access information. This project is an initiative of Shared Knowledge Asia Pacific (SKAPI) and Babaylan PH funded through a rapid grant from the Wikimedia Foundation aiming to increase the number of Pangasinan contents on Wikipedia.

The project enables anyone to access information on local laws and ordinances covering cities and municipalities of Pangasinan and some parts of La Union.

Local laws and ordinances being accessible to the public help ensure transparency in governance. This increased accessibility, promotes greater accountability among local officials and encourages citizens to participate actively in their communities.

Moreover, by uploading public local laws and ordinances, it helps preserve the cultural heritage of Pangasinan and allows future generations to have access to this valuable information.

One of the benefits of this project is that it can foster collaboration among local government units (LGUs) in Pangasinan through sharing of local laws on centralized platform like Wikipedia. LGUs then can learn innovative approaches to governance.

Initial phase of the project where ordinances have been uploaded on Wikicommons and Wikisource include the following areas: Pangasinan – Urbiztondo, Bani, Balungao, Dagupan City, Asingan, Bolinao, Lingayen, Malasiqui, Bayambang, Alaminos City, Basista, Umingan, Agno and Mangaldan; La Union – Bauang, San Fernando City, Naguilian, Caba, Aringay, Bacnotan, Pugo, Burgos, San Juan, San Gabriel and Agoo.
